Online Couples Therapy and Sex Therapy in Florida
Mark Goldberg, LCMFT, provides telehealth couples therapy, sex therapy, and individual therapy to adults anywhere in Florida. He holds EFT certification in couples therapy (ICEEFT) and AASECT certification in sex therapy. A couple dealing with both relationship distress and sexual problems can work on both with one therapist, in one course of care. All sessions are by secure video. Why couples therapy and sex therapy belong together
Relationship problems and sexual problems usually feed each other. The fight you keep having shows up in the bedroom, and the distance in the bedroom shows up in the fight. Most therapists are trained on one side of that. Mark is certified in both, so you don’t have to split your care between two providers or tell your story twice.
Couples therapy for Florida couples (EFT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a structured, research-supported approach to couples therapy. It works on the pattern underneath your conflict, where one partner pushes and the other pulls away. It doesn’t try to decide who’s right about the last argument.
Couples usually reach out when:
- They’ve had the same argument so many times they can recite both sides.
- One of them had an affair and they don’t know if the relationship can recover.
- They’ve stopped touching, or sex has become a source of tension instead of closeness.
- It’s a second marriage and old patterns are showing up again.
- One partner is quietly thinking about leaving.
Sex therapy for individuals and couples
Sex therapy is talk therapy focused on sexual concerns. There is no physical contact and no examination. Sessions are a conversation, like any other therapy.
Mark works with:
- Erectile difficulties, including ED that is situational, performance-related, or persists despite medication.
- Premature or delayed ejaculation.
- Low desire, or a gap in desire between partners.
- Sexual behavior that feels out of control.
- Rebuilding a sexual relationship after infidelity.
Research on EFT has found that roughly 70–75% of couples move from distress to recovery. That is evidence for the approach, not a prediction for any particular couple. Most couples work runs 12 to 20 sessions or more.
Individual therapy for adults
Mark sees adults individually for relationship patterns, anxiety, depression, trauma, and the aftermath of infidelity, whichever side of it you’re on. If your partner isn’t ready to start, you can begin on your own.
How online therapy works in Florida
Sessions are available anywhere in Florida, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Jacksonville, Naples, and Sarasota.
You need to be physically in Florida (or Maryland or New York) during each session.
Sessions are by secure, HIPAA-compliant video. A laptop or phone and a private room are all you need.
Appointments are scheduled in Eastern Time.
Mark treats Florida clients under Florida’s out-of-state telehealth provider registration. CICC has no Florida office, and all Florida care is virtual.

The initial evaluation is $335, and each 50-minute session is $270. CICC is out-of-network and does not bill insurance. We provide superbills, which you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement, and sessions are FSA/HSA eligible. Ask your plan about out-of-network telehealth benefits before your first session.
Because we don’t bill insurance, nothing goes to an insurer unless you choose to submit a superbill.

CICC does not prescribe medication. We don’t offer crisis services or intensive levels of care, and we don’t treat anyone under 18. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988.
